چکیده

Purpose - The importance of the affective domain in holistic human development, particular empathy, is an increasing concern today especially after Covid-19 pandemic. purpose this study was threefold: (i) to investigate attitudes school students toward competencies associated with consciousness; (ii) validate psychometric properties model Malaysian students’ and (iii) examine influence selfefficacy, emotion regulation, sense belonging problem-solving on their empathy. Methodology Using a quantitative survey approach, data were collected from 911 drawn 10 schools throughout Malaysia using four-point Likert scale instrument. employed variance-based SEM by Smart-PLS achieve objectives. First, measurement test (such as convergent validity, divergent reliability) for all constructs. Second, structural conducted direct indirect hypothesized relationship. Results provided evidence discriminant validity exhibited that three out four constructs, i.e., have Furthermore, regulation showed mediating role relationship between exogenous variables (sense problemsolving) explained 58.6 percent variance Significance This pioneering work Malaysia. With identification factors problem-solving, more effective support interventions can be teachers Ministry Education help enhancing

Partial least squares methods: partial least squares correlation and partial least square regression.

Partial least square (PLS) methods (also sometimes called projection to latent structures) relate the information present in two data tables that collect measurements on the same set of observations. PLS methods proceed by deriving latent variables which are (optimal) linear combinations of the variables of a data table. When the goal is to find the shared information between two tables, the ap...

Partial Least Squares Regression (PLS)

Number of latents The same number of factors will be extracted for PLS responses as for PLS factors. The researcher must specify how many latents to extract (in SPSS the default is 5). There is no one criterion for deciding how many latents to employ. Common alternatives are: 1. Cross-validating the model with increasing numbers of factors, then choosing the number with minimum prediction error...
